Selamat Menjalankan Ibadah Puasa Di Bulan Ramadhan

Assalamualaikum... Dari Pihak Persatuan Pelajar Brunei Di Malaysia (BSCM), ingin Mengucapkan Selamat Menyambut Ibadah Puasa Di Bulan Ramadhan. Semoga Ibadah Puasa Pada Tahun Ini Penuh Keberkatan, Keampunan Dan Keikhlasan. Dan Juga, Ibadah Puasa Kita Pada Tahun Ini Akan Lebih Bermakna dan Lebih Baik Dari Tahun - Tahun Yang Sudah.
Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 183. "Hai orang-orang yang beriman, diwajibkan atas kamu berpuasa sebagaimana diwajibkan atas orang-orang sebelum kamu agar kamu bertakwa".
Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 185.
Selamat Berpuasa Di Mana Sahaja Kita Berada...

Brunei UKM students promote food, culture at university expo

Brunei's traditional staple "ambuyat" has turned out to be the main attraction for visitors who came to "Ekspo Kecemerlangan Warisan Ilmu" or the Knowledge in Heritage Excellence Expo being held at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Bangi, Selangor.

Among the Brunei dishes and delicacies on display and served on the event's opening day yesterday were "pulut panggang", "sambal tahai", Laila rice, "kelupis", durian cake, "udang (shrimp) masak sepohon" and many more.

The two-day expo is known as such because it involves research, innovation and excellence in the knowledge of cultural heritage. The event was formerly known as the Research and Innovation Expo.

This year's expo is being held to mark 40th anniversary of the establishment of UKM.

Other countries including China, Indonesia, Iran and Libya are also taking part in the expo, promoting their products and cultural traditions.

Present to officiate yesterday's launch at the lobby of the Faculty of Education, UKM was Prof Dr Lilia Halim, Dean of the faculty.

Representing the Sultanate at the expo were Brunei students who are currently taking Bachelor of Education and Master's of Education programmes at the university.

"As a student in Malaysia, I am very happy to exchange, in terms of research, knowledge that is useful and can be applied in Brunei Darussalam," said Dyg Hjh Syarifah Zaharinah one of the Brunei students taking part in the event.

The expo also gives the Brunei students the opportunity to show their appreciation to the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and to promote the uniqueness and beauty of their homeland.

The students thanked the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in Malaysia for providing the traditional Brunei equipment to be used in the expo.

The students taking part in the expo come from various faculties at UKM and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) as well as from the Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS).

Monash IT fair 2011

http://www.monashitfair.com/introduction/monash-it-fair-2011-introduction

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen, men and women of all ages!

C.H.I.P (Computer Hub Information Project), a School of IT student initiative project, under the School of IT of Monash University Sunway Campus in collaboration with Microsoft Student Partners, Monash University Sunway campus, will be launching the first annual “Monash IT Fair 2011” on the 28th of March – 30th of March 2011.

Encompassing a space of more than 7,500 sq ft…. the IT Fair will comprise of up to 30 booths for display and sale of technological products. This event will be open to public and invitations will be sent to students currently pursuing their education in Sunway University, Taylor’s University, INTI University College, Metropolitan College, Segi University College and the One Academy

This is technically similar to the PC fairs that are held from time to time throughout Malaysia. If any of you are unfamiliar with such an event, a IT/PC fair is basically just a large event that revolves around discounted sales of devices related to computers such as peripherals, external hard disks, keyboards, mice, headsets, flash drives, and the like.

For those who are familiar with PC fairs, I am sure for the most of you it is unfortunate that the fair is usually held in a distant place, such as KL. Now is the time to grab the chance, for once a fair will be held in an area convenient to most of you, Sunway!

The fair will last for 3 days, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM everyday! Do not miss the chance to purchase what you want, need, or like at a opportune price! So come one, come all!

For further inquiries, you can contact any of the following committee members:
1. Jayhan Tee @ 017-253 6317
2. Rachel Wong @ 016-609 8478

The information provided regarding the fair is subject to change if required and we are not held responsible if you do not keep yourself updated with the details. Thank you and have a nice day
